QA/QC Manager – Construction (15 Years Experience)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Manager with 15 years of construction experience to lead and implement quality management systems for large-scale construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will ensure full compliance with contract specifications, approved drawings, Abu Dhabi authority requirements, international standards, and company QA/QC policies from project inception through final handover.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System (QMS)
-
Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP)

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and company quality procedures
-
Establish project-specific Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Procedures
Site QA/QC Operations
-
Supervise QA/QC engineers and inspectors (Civil, Architectural, MEP)
-
Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and BOQs
-
Monitor site works and conduct regular inspections and audits
-
Control non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective and preventive actions
Authority & Consultant Coordination
-
Liaise with consultants and Abu Dhabi authorities for inspections and approvals

Ensure compliance with ADM/DMT, Estidama, ADDC, ADCD, Tadweer, and other relevant authorities

Coordinate third-party testing and laboratory approvals
Material & Vendor Quality Control

Review and approve material submittals, samples, and technical data sheets

Ensure materials comply with project specifications and authority requirements

Monitor supplier and subcontractor quality performance
Documentation & Reporting

Maintain quality records including inspection reports, test results, material approvals, and as-built documentation

Prepare quality reports for management, clients, and consultants

Ensure proper document control and traceability
Handover & Close-Out

Manage QA/QC activities during snagging, testing, commissioning, and handover

Ensure completion of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and final quality dossiers

Support project completion and final authority approvals
Training & Continuous Improvement

Conduct QA/QC training and toolbox talks for site teams

Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement

Identify root causes of quality issues and implement preventive measures
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

Professional certifications such as CSWIP, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor are highly preferred
Experience
-
Minimum 15 years of QA/QC experience in construction

Strong experience in Abu Dhabi-based projects
-
Experience in buildings, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects
Technical Skills

In-depth knowledge of construction standards, codes, and best practices

Strong understanding of Abu Dhabi authority approval processes

Proficiency in QA/QC documentation, audits, and reporting systems

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience with main contractors or PMC companies in Abu Dhabi

Familiarity with Estidama Pearl Rating System quality requirements

Proven ability to manage QA/QC for high-value, complex projects
