ARCH / BIM Engineer

Experience: 10 Years (Minimum 6–7 years in UAE/Abu Dhabi preferred)

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ARCH / BIM Engineer with 10 years of construction experience to manage architectural coordination and BIM implementation for projects in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be responsible for architectural design coordination, BIM model development, clash detection, shop drawing preparation, and authority compliance, ensuring accurate and coordinated deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Engineering & Coordination

  • Review architectural IFC drawings, specifications, and BOQs

  • Coordinate architectural works with structural and MEP disciplines

  • Resolve design and constructability issues in coordination with consultants

  • Ensure architectural works comply with project requirements and authority regulations

BIM Modeling & Management

  • Develop, manage, and update BIM models (LOD 300–400) using Revit

  • Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks

  • Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project BIM Execution Plan (BEP)

  • Maintain model accuracy throughout construction stages

Shop Drawings & Submittals

  • Prepare and review architectural shop drawings, mock-ups, and material submittals

  • Coordinate approvals with consultants and clients

  • Incorporate approved changes into BIM models and drawings

Authority & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi authority requirements (ADM/DMT, Estidama, Civil Defense)

  • Support authority submissions and respond to comments

  • Ensure compliance with Estidama Pearl Rating System architectural requirements

Site Support & Construction Coordination

  • Provide technical support to site teams during construction

  • Attend coordination meetings and site inspections as required

  • Assist in resolving site queries and RFIs

Documentation & Handover

  • Support preparation of as-built drawings and BIM models

  • Assist in compilation of handover documents and O&M manuals

  • Ensure architectural BIM data is aligned with final construction outputs

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering

Experience

  • 10 years of total experience in architectural engineering and BIM

  • Strong experience in Abu Dhabi construction projects

  • Experience in residential, commercial, high-rise, or mixed-use projects

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Revit Architecture, Navisworks, AutoCAD

  • Familiarity with BIM standards (ISO 19650) and project BEPs

  • Strong understanding of architectural detailing and construction methods

Software Skills

  • Revit Architecture (Advanced)

  • Navisworks Manage

  • AutoCAD

  • MS Office

  • BIM 360 / ACC (preferred)

Competencies

  • Strong coordination and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability

  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines

  • Good understanding of construction sequencing

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Experience working with main contractors or PMC companies in Abu Dhabi

  • Strong BIM coordination experience on large-scale projects

  • Familiarity with authority submission portals and processes
